Land Use / Land Cover Change in the Western Highlands of Cameroon: Case of the Sabga-Bamunka Area (1980-2020)

Man has greatly influenced the environment through his different activities, technology and dynamism. These modifications are land use/land cover changes. This research describes analyses implication of use dynamics on resources in Sabga-Bamunka area over time space from 1980 to 2020. Remote sensing techniques Geographic Information System were used describing analysing use/cover changes area. Primary data was obtained field observation order confirm satellite imageries. Land maps produced using GIS software. Maps generated show which transposed into table bar graphs magnitude The analysis static 1980, 2010 2020 all showed that there significant observed forest cover, farmland, grazing settlement findings revealed study experienced a drastic change during last forty years. is characterised with decrease grassland areas, increase farmland due increasing population main triggering force led reduction vegetal cover.
